Make one to match every outfit. The feminine hat has two rows of flouncy ruffles surrounding the face and has a pretty bow in the back. The hat fits snuggly with elastic hidden underneath the bow in back.  I have added an optional neck strap with adjustable snap closure. We found out that it stays on really well with just the elastic fit.  The hat pattern has sizes from 3 months to 24 months and all are included in the same pattern.  A dressier version of the hat has ribbon neck ties and bow with lace around the flounces. I used French machine sewing and serger techniques on this hat.
