What did you like or dislike about the pattern?:
The construction of the bodice is a little different, with the front being lined, and the back neckline just using bias binding, rather than a lining. This means the shoulder seams are sewn after the lining, which is not the neatest finish.
What changes did you make?:
I lengthened the bodice (as I have a long torso), and also lengthened the skirt, as I needed the skirt to cover my knees. I also made a small round shoulder adjustment. I think it needs a slightly bigger adjustment as it still sits away from my neck at the back.
Who did you sew this for?:
The style is very pretty, but modest. The pleat details add a nice detail. The A-line skirt is nice too, and it's fitted just right at the waist, although it does slightly cling to my belly. I'm not sure if that is the fabric choice or the dress design. I'll be making this again, next time as a top.
Additional details of fabric/notions:
Main fabric is Pique Knit in Seafoam. Lining is a plain white quilting cotton.
