Summer Sewing: One-Piece Swimsuit Sewing Patterns for Women
Whether you’re feeling modest but stylish or sporty, enjoy the beach or pool with a DIY swimsuit with the best one-piece swimsuit sewing patterns for women.
The weather is heating up and a beach holiday is right around the corner for our family. I need a new swimsuit but I hate swimsuit shopping. Dread and embarrassment wash over me as I walk into the swimsuit store.

Decent one-piece swimsuits are hard to find. I love the modest look of a one-piece, great to hide the little lumps that giving birth to two children have given me, but I have a long torso. If I try to wear my normal size, I end up with a massive wedgy and my (not very large) chest being pulled completely flat. To find a one-piece swimsuit that fits my torso, I have to go up 3-4 sizes and end up with the width not fitting quite right, with excess fabric where I really don’t need it (and I’m not risking a wardrobe malfunction at the beach!).
So of course the answer to all my swimsuit fitting problems is to make my own, spending the extra time to fit my body shape. Whether you are looking for a stylish one-piece to laze on the beach or something more sporty for swimming laps, here are the best one-piece swimsuit sewing patterns for women:
