Santa Claus patterns to sew
We’re heading into the festive season and I’m always looking for ways to add to my holiday decor. Father Christmas plays a big part in our Christmas traditions, so I love the idea of sewing up a Father Christmas doll pattern for the kids to play with (and me to enjoy seeing him sitting underneath the mistletoe!)
So check out these Santa Claus patterns to sew:

Felt Santa Sewing Patterns

How adorable is this felt Santa doll ornament from BoBaRoBa, with those wobbly arms and legs! Isn’t his moustache awesome!

If you’re sewing a Fathe Christmas doll, you shouldn’t forget about Mother Christmas too. How sweet are the Santa and Mrs Santa Tree ornaments from Noialand. All the details are just perfect!

For a simpler design (but just as cute), there’s the Felt Santa Claus and Mrs Claus from Magic Pattern Shop.

Another fun Father Christmas doll pattern is the Santa Claus ornament from Casa Magubako. I think it would make a sweet baby toy too (maybe leaving off the holly so there are no small parts).

The Felt Santa Claus from Sewing Toys by Alex would be great to sew with an older child. It reminds me of the kids’ felt craft kits you can find in store. Why not make up your own!

Isn’t the Felt Star Santa Claus by BoBaRoBa just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? (until the next cute sewing pattern I find…) I’d love to make an oversized version as a cushion for my sofa.

Felt Father Christmas from Little Softie Shoppe would be a great Christmas project to make with younger kids.
Fabric Santa Patterns

If you prefer to sew with fabrics other than felt, check out Jolly Mr Claus from Melly and Me. What an adorable Santa Claus Doll pattern (and I love the choice of fabrics!)!

The Primitive Father Christmas doll pattern from Happy Heart Patterns is an old world Santa pattern.

Santa Claus soft toy from PC Bangles includes a pattern for his mini Christmas sack.
Santa Sewing Kits
If you’re too busy this festive season to get all your sewing supplies together, why not get a Santa sewing kit. Here are some cute options:
This Bucilla Santa Claus sewing kit just makes me smile. How happy are those Santas with their candy canes! Technically these are ornaments and not dolls, but if you leave off the hanging loop, you could use them as dolls!
The Secret Santa from Sew Thimble Wood is a fun festive sewing kit. It comes with everything you need to make a Father Christmas doll with a secret compartment that fits a chocolate orange What a fun holiday gift!
Not quite a doll, but still very cute! Here is the Bucilla felt Santa ornament kit, with 2 each to sew of 3 different Father Christmas ornaments. I always love the detail Bucilla puts into their sewing kits.
What a great collection of Santa Claus doll patterns!
