Ewe-nique Sheep sewing patterns (Wool Ewe Sew One?)
When my eldest was a baby, we went on a holiday to New Zealand and came home with a souvenir sheep plush. Sheepy (yes, we’re very creative with names here!) has always been a popular. He’s quite round, and somehow “Sheepy attacks” became a household tradition: when Sheepy gets thrown at you when you least expect it. My eldest is now in her late teens, and Sheepy attacks are still a common occurence.
Everyone should experience the joy of being hit with a flying stuffed sheep, so I’ve rounded up the cutest sheep plush sewing patterns.

There’s a good range of sheep sewing patterns here, from quick felt projects you can finish in an evening to one seriously advanced jointed pattern for anyone who wants a real challenge. Here are my favorite sheep sewing patterns:
Sheep Plush Sewing Patterns

Sheep by Rumpled Quilt Skins
This little 7 inch sheep is made with ruffled cotton instead of fur fabric, and somehow it works perfectly for that woolly look. No wonder it’s been a quilt shop favorite for years.

Shy Shelly Sheep by Maureen Lee Design
Shelly is weighted, so she’ll sit up nicely at 15 inches or stretch out flat at 23 inches. I’m a big fan of that soft sculpted nose, it gives her so much personality.

Lamkins by Funky Friends Factory
This sweet little lamb comes together beautifully in fleece, velour, or chenille. Skip the safety eyes and embroider the face for an adorable newborn gift.

Poofy Sheep by SewKnotFinished
Poofy sheep is a small, round little sheep at about 6 by 4.5 inches, made from wooly fabric and felt. This one looks perfect for Sheepy attacks, so don’t stuff it too hard!

Lamb Plushie by Pomme Patterns
Another little one, 6 inches tall in minky and cotton. There’s a weighted pellet option too, so it actually sits up instead of toppling over the second you let go.

Serene Sheep by Rustic Horse Shoe
If you want a whole flock that doesn’t look identical, this is the one. Five ear options, seven horn options, three noses, even a wattle and beard if you’re feeling more goat than sheep. Endless fun if you like to mix and match.

Sheep Roll Plush by TeacupLion
This kawaii-style sheep is made from sherpa or swirl minky and gives you four different ways to do the face to suit your skill level (machine applique, hand sewing, safety eyes, and paint). My daughter loves this cute style.

Lamb Doll by Dolls and Daydreams
A bigger lamb at 18 inches, in cotton and felt, and rated easy. It’s even designed to match the same shop’s dress-up clothes patterns, in case your lamb needs a wardrobe too.

Sock Sheep Sam by Craft Passion
Sam is what happens to the sock that’s lost its pair, and I love that. Free, and you get a choice of standing or lying down, so pick whichever pose suits your odd sock collection.

Sheep Softie by Swoodson Says
This free pattern for felt or fleece sheep is easy enough to sew with kids, or just when you want a quick sewing project.

Darling Sheep by Lisa Pay
Now this one’s the real deal. Jointed limbs, glass eyes, a mohair head, even Worbla thermoplastic for shaping. It comes with a full video tutorial. Isn’t it amazing?
Felt Sheep Sewing Patterns

Felt Sheep Ornament by Fresiadecor
This 4 inch hanging ornament is perfect for Easter or spring decorating. Whip up a handful for a garland, or tie one onto a gift.

Felt Sheep by MyFeltRoom
A teeny 2.5 inch hand-sewn sheep that comes with an SVG file, so your Cricut can do the cutting for you. How lovely would this look as part of a nativity scene or strung up on a baby mobile?

Felt Sheep by appletoys
This 5 inch felt sheep is part of a whole felt farm animal collection (SVG files included). If you’re building yourself a felt barnyard, this one fits right in.
Baby Sheep Sewing Patterns

Dollhouse Lamb by MamaRoarSews
A beginner-friendly lamb that uses non-stretch fabric, which makes a nice change if your stash leans more quilting cotton than fleece. I’m a big fan of the black sheep!

Lovey Dovey Lamb by whileshenaps
This is a fleece blanket lovey rather than a standalone plush, and the lamb is just one of four animal faces in the pattern. Handy if lambs don’t quite land with whoever you’re sewing for.

Counting Sheep Baby Mobile by WoolAndPineLullaby
This is the whole nursery scene in one pattern: three sheep, a moon, and clouds, all in wool felt and sherpa, with an SVG file to save time cutting. It would make a sweet baby shower gift.
Sheepy is staying exactly as round and as throwable as ever. I hope you’ve found the sheep sewing patterns for your own Sheepy attacks (or maybe just sheepy cuddles).
