Pigs Might Fly (Off Your Sewing Machine): Adorable Pig Sewing Patterns
Why don’t pigs get the pattern love that teddy bears and bunnies do? Miss Piggy was one of my favorite characters growing up, so really pigs deserve some love. And “Babe” is an iconic Australian movie (my kids get annoyed when I quote that one!).
So it’s time I shared the best pig sewing patterns out there, from cute, quick and easy projects to amazingly-detailed realistic designs.
Here are some of my favorite pig plush sewing patterns.

Pig Cuddle Doll by Lisa Pay
This little pig is so adorable, with the cute ruffled collar and bow. The finished size is 38cm (15 inches), so a great size for cuddling and carrying around.
17.5 Inch Piglet by Cat Maessen
Inspired by Piglet, from Winnie the Pooh, this is an adorable and easy pattern to sew. I love that iconic little turned up snout.
Farm Mammals Plush by CholyKnight
Not just a pig: this pattern includes a whole farmyard of animals: sheep, pig, cow, goat, donkey, and pony. This is an intermediate to advanced project, but the finished plush toy is absolutely adorable. Applique instructions are included for the eyes, but the machine embroidery design is sold separately.
Chubby Pig by dollphinwing
Now this is a pig plush toy with character: chunky cheeks, a protruding snout, and a curly tail on a roughly 9 inch body. This is also a more challenging project (so give it a go when you’ve sewn a few plushies).
Piglet Rag Doll by EFI Little Things
For a rag doll-style pig, check out this patterns. I love the design of the cute little snout. The finished size is 30cm (12 inches) and I can picture a little kid carrying it around by the hand (trotter?). Clothing patterns are sold separately.
Pig Doll with Clothes by ricracsews (Jodie Carleton)
This pig doll pattern comes with lots of clothing options: a dress, romper, and overalls to go with the 13 inch pig doll itself. It’s suitable for a confident beginner (although there are a couple of fiddly bits).
Sock Pig by LaliDolls
Turn a stray sock into a cute stuffed pig with a happy, smiling face. A good option if you already have a sock toy habit and want to add a pig to the lineup.

The toys from Arttony Toys always make me smile, and are such a fun design. Firmly in the round, chubby, kawaii camp rather than realistic, the pattern comes in 4 sizes for just the right amount of cuddles.
Lifelike Piggy by XanthePatterns
This pattern is more realistic than most, but still cute and cuddly. The snout and trotters are so adorable. It comes in two sizes too!
Pig Sewing Pattern by Rumpledquiltskins
The patterns from Rumpledquiltskins use a quilting technique to give a unique texture. This pig is another that’s adorable but kind of realistic design.

This pig plushie pattern from Minky Binky Co is more of a cuddly teddy bear-style. It comes in two sizes so you can make Mummy Pig and Baby Pig.
Cute Pig Plushie by DIYFluffies
This pig plushie pattern reminds of the piggy bank money box. It’s so cute and round and perfect for hugging! Attaching the legs is a bit fiddly, but worth it for ending up with such a fun piggy.
Baby Pig by Lisa Pay
If you’re really looking to challenge yourself, check out this amazing pattern. It’s a jointed, mohair piglet dressed in pajamas, and it even comes with a little duck pattern too. With the detailed instructions, you’ll end up sewing a work of art!
