Countdown to Christmas with Cheery Advent Calendar Sewing Patterns
I love the lead-up to Christmas and one of my favourite parts is watching the kids update the Advent calendar each day. After the battle for who gets to do which days is over (although with most calendars having 24 days, it works out evenly for people with 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12 kids), it’s fun to watch them hang their ornament and work out how many days to go until Santa visits.
Do you count up or countdown? We usually count up (which gives the kids a chance to do some mental maths each day to work out the days to Christmas.
If you’re looking to sew a new advent calendar, today I’m sharing my favourite Advent calendar sewing patterns. There are lovely Nativity advent calendar patterns, to remind your family of the meaning of Christmas, as well as more fun, modern and whimsical designs.
And if you don’t feel like embroidering or appliquéing the numbers, I’ve shared some great Advent calendar quilt panels as well. Alternatively, find the best advent calendar kits to sew here.
